Jose Ruiz's installation, too, is a voyeur's delight. He built a wall
with a glass window partially obscured by half-open blinds. Beyond it,
a monitor plays pulsing, distorted images in fleshy colors. The on-screen
imagery turns out to be footage of an exposed light bulb, but it's distorted
enough by those crooked blinds to be whatever you want it to be.
